AVALON PERMIT FLY

The Avalon Fly is the result of scientific and technical research, which lasted for years. After getting several poor results in the past and despite the best flies used built by experts for the permit. I realized that the instinctive reaction of the permit was first frightened and then follow up later to be long without sinking.

It is known that permit are really wise and suspects much of everything.. not easy to convince. I thought that improving the presentation and the position of the fly in the water, we will get more chances for a sprint, making more permit biting the bait.

After starting research, this fly was tested both in the sea and in a swimming pool, as well as other patterns possibly attractive for permit. Noting submerged by snorkeling like flies fell into the water and took different positions in each sinking. I realized that some flies were falling face down, some others began to rotate after the first cast and during the strips. Linking this technical problem and the fact that the permit is a scary fish.

So after trying fly after fly, I have built and tested in April 2009 a fly that gave the following results:

- Falling in the water with the hook up.

- Entering into the water with a balanced and fair condition, without turning or exposing the hook.

Sinking fast enough, looks like a jerky motion, but linear when stripping the line simulates a shrimp.

The fly imitates a giant shrimp with its size of 9 cm in total, but is built on a hook #2, using materials such as: rabbits, orange arctic fox tail, with pearl embroidery thread , rubber bands of red and black crystal flash that imitates the antennas.

The colors of marabou and rabbit may vary from the bottom, depending on the environment where we're fishing.

The eyes are 3 or 4 mm. large , which allows the collapse of materials such as marabou, rabbit and fox tail.

It solves the problem of navigability placing 4 silver Cyclops eyes. 2.8 mm of nickel, as if the fly had the keel of a ship.

A final success with cyclops eyes to give even a sound effect similar to the vibrations in the water, making this simply irresistible!

The results are fascinating, in a few months, our clients have caught 53 permits excluding Grand Slams. The reaction of the permit, when the fly has been successfully launched, is to attack and take it without hesitation, just without suspicion.

Clearly, other boards for fishing is the dire when you come
