CAYO LARGO
With the experience and enthusiasm of the Italian team carrying out the successful operation in Jardines de la Reina, is now starting a new project in Cayo Largo. Although this small island was already known as a diving destination, its value has never been recognised.

Cayo Largo is a paradisiacal island, not yet reached by mass tourism. As from your arrival in the small international airport, you are immediately captured by this timeless heaven. Here you forget your watch, the day is just spent between unforgettable immersions, relaxing siestas on striking white beaches and evening aperitifs at the Marina bar.

The Diving Center is located at the center of the Marina. The boats that will take the divers to the dive sites are just a few meters away.

What is really new is the choice of the dive sites! Avalon diving center, with his 15 years experience at the Jardines de la Reina, has selected the most spectacular spots, which can only be reached after a one/two hours boat ride : Cayo Blanco, Cayo Sigua, Cayo Rosario are a real paradise for divers.

Cayo Blanco appears from a distance as a white sanded isle lost in the sea. It’s just a short line of sand that falls into the blue. Underwater there’s a new world: cliff encrusted with sponges and corals, tunnels and canyons that open in the blue. And on the top of the reef, just in few meters depht, divers remain enchanted at the sight of all kinds of coral that host schools of barrier fish. Thousands of fish of different species that move all together, escaping from a predator. There is an unthinkable quantity of fish, but here you are 25 km away from the coast. It’s an incredible experience! The pista de ski is literally a white sand cliff where corals grow like bushes - a landscape you just read about in fairytales. And what can I say about the Blue Hole? Underwater, a few meters away from the barrier, there’s a passage in the reef that descends into the deep blue. The water is so clear that it’s hard to tell if you are actually going down! Immersions in Cayo Rosario are also fantastic. Dark rocks and tunnels. At their entrance, clouds of glass fish. Around them, the whitest sand you have ever seen. Here is possible to do one of our best immersions: divers get surrounded by nearly 15 dolphins that seem to play with their bubbles. Sometimes these swim around the divers, they nearly touch them, and a wave of emotions capture everyone. Then they go up, they breathe and back down, all over again…

This is an unusual Cayo Largo, unfamiliar to most divers; you’ll be seeing places far from the Marina, reachable only with full day trips! And what’s better than a lovely plate of spaghetti on board after two unforgettable immersions?

Structure and Facilities

There are 7 small wooden cottages with a total of 12 rooms. All rooms are seaside, have a wonderful view of Cayo Largo and they are just a few meters from the departure point for Playa Sirena. Rooms are big and very nice (6 double-rooms,2 triple-rooms and 2 rooms for 4 people). All rooms are en-suite, equipped with air conditioning, TV, safe, telephone and a balcony with an awesome view of the sea. The “All-Inclusive” option includes all meals and drinks but also, boat excursions in the lagoon or on the canals, snorkeling and picnic on the most exclusives beaches.

The restaurant is “a la carte”. For divers and all excursionists who won’t be at the hotel during the day, a meal will be provided on the boat. There is also a small diver’s resort, almost a seaside villa with an incredible atmosphere and everything is organized for divers’ needs. The club is perfect to meet other people during the evening, drink a Mojito at the bar, download photos or videos of the day on the PCs. And why not an evening pool game, chatting about the nicest activities of the day and while waiting for the big surprise at midnight!!!
